Apple Crumble Brownies are a captivating dessert combination, combining the fudgy texture and chocolate intensity of a brownie with the aromatic freshness of sautéed cinnamon apples. Topped with crunchy almonds, each bite offers a harmony of chocolate sweetness, the slightly tartness of the apple, and the aroma of warm spices, making it a luxurious treat that's both modern and familiar.

InGREDIENTS

 

350 g Haan Cake Mix Brownies

75 g Eggs

35 g Water

5-7 g Bendico Cocoa Powder

90 g Vegetable Oil

70 g Melted Butter

2 g Baking Powder (optional)

50 g Sliced ​​Almonds/Cashews

 

Apple Cinnamon Filling Ingredients

4 Malang Apples (diced)

50 g Haan Palm Sugar

2 tbsp Butter

30 g Granulated Sugar

1 tbsp Lemon Juice

½ tsp Cinnamon Powder

20 g Haan Cornstarch (dissolve in 50 ml water)

 

HOW TO MAKE

Preparation: Preheat oven to 180°C. Prepare an 18 x 18 cm baking pan by greasing it with margarine and lining it with parchment paper. Set aside.

Making the Batter: Mix all the brownie ingredients except the nuts, then stir with a balloon whisk until well combined.

Assembling: Press the brownie into the prepared pan, pour some of the batter, fill with the apple cinnamon filling, and then cover with the remaining brownie batter.

Baking: Sprinkle the brownie with sliced ​​almonds and bake for 25-30 minutes, until cooked through.

Cooling: Once baked, set aside and let cool before cutting.

 

Apple Cinnamon Filling

Heat the butter and sauté the apples briefly (about 5 minutes).

Add the Haan Palm Sugar, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon powder. Stir until well combined.

Add the cornstarch solution and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
